          Divergent is about a 16 year old Beatrice. She needs to choose one of 5 factions to spend her life in. But following a placement test her results don’t give her one clear faction in other words she is one of the few “Divergent”.

           She later makes a choice but she has many struggles with her faction’s intense initiation process and coping with have to hide her identity as a “Divergent”. She also realizes how screwed up her world is when her old faction, the Abnegation, and another faction, the Erudite, start to become tense. As tension builds and emotions rise Beatrice tries to fix this tension.
